Here’s What Went Down Backstage at Wireless 2023 With Nando’s
Wireless is the biggest annual celebration of Black Music that has been running since as far back as 2005. The festival has taken place at various locations across the capital, even having fleeting appearances in Birmingham. It’s ancestral home is most certainly Finsbury Park and 2023 was another year where North London would play host to the biggest festival in town. Nando’s also has a long storied history with the festival, and has always ensured that the stars had nothing but flavours waiting for them when they stepped off stage, and this year was no different.
Although the line up this year was more American leaning than previous years, a range of greats from the UK scene were all spotted backstage enjoying their Nando’s favourites, which of course included the usual suspects in the shape of wings, wraps, sides and new for this year of course the Loaded Fries. DJ Target, Clavish, Headie One, Mahalia and FLO were all in attendance, the latter were even gifted their own custom bejewelled peri peri sauce bottles.
The attention to detail went even down to the napkins, which were inspired by lyrics from artists that were performing at the festival.
